Coated aluminium is playing an important role in various
applications in the building industry, such as:
• Roofing
• Panels
• Roller Shutters
• False Ceilings
Its main properties, easy workability and lightness as well
as its high resistance to corrosion, make coated aluminium
particularly suitable for such applications.
 Roofing:
Coated aluminium, plain and embossed, is extensively used
for roofing not only for its pleasing appearance, but also
for its thermal and acoustic insulation properties achieved
by laminating with bituminous foam products.

 Roller
shutters :
Coated aluminium is progressively replacing traditional materials
such as wood and plastic. Aluminium is prefered to wood for its
lower production and maintenance costs, while it is preferred to
plastic for its higher mechanical strength, its greater stability
and, once again, its aesthetic appeal.

 False
ceilings :
Coated aluminium has soon proved to be an ideal material for this
end use. Its ease of application and movability of the panels, again
combined with its attractive appearance are among the main reasons
for its ready acceptance. There is a variety of products types using
either plain or embossed aluminium, with either bright or matt colour,
painted finishes, which will meet all the creative needs of designers.

 Panels:
The Honey-Comb light panels are used for fixed (building industry)
as well as for mobile applications in transport means (aereonautic,
naval and motor vehicle fields).
Further to its lightness and aesthetics feature, the peculiarity
of Honey-Comb is no doubt its resistance to compression.
Italcoat produces already preadhesivized aluminium coils to get
Honey-Comb with different goemetries which enable remarkably higher
productivity against the traditional processing. With such a semi-finished
product our customers can shorten their production cycle restricting
it to cutting of sheets, pressing (at 180 and 210°C temperature),
cutting of packets and extension of cells. It has been proved that
by using these pre-adhesivized coils, the productivity has been
sensitively improved (up to 95% of faultless extended cells).
Italcoat can make special treatments on the flat rolled aluminium
for products destined to nautic industry as well as to highly polluted
places. It is a rolled aluminium pre-adhesivized after a special
precoating application.
