According to the latest analyses by the Italian Packaging Institute, about eighty Italian companies have made flexible packaging their core business. Despite the difficult period that the country has experienced in the last year, and which it is still experiencing, this sector seems not to have undergone significant production stoppages thanks above all to the branch dedicated to the food market.
In fact, the online food sales, especially of vegetable and animal preserves, stemmed the losses. Internet food sales growth has especially favored flexible metal packaging.
