Lacquered sheets have undergone a surface treatment – the painting process – to change their nature. Usually the painting process that is carried out on metal surfaces, such as aluminum, is of two types: liquid and powder. In the latter case we refer to a solid and non-liquid coating. Before being used, coated sheets undergo a cycle of different treatments: pre-treatment of the sheet, first coat of paint, second coat of paint, quality control. Pre-treatment is the most important phase because it allows to remove any external residues and ensures maximum adhesion of the paint to the surface.
Lacquered aluminium sheets
Lacquered aluminum sheets are widely used in the construction industry because they combine aluminium advantages with the benefits of the painting process. In fact, it must be remembered that aluminum sheets are particularly efficient because they are light, workable and with a high thermal conductivity, and they are 100% sustainable because they are infinitely recyclable. The lacquer also makes them particularly resistant to corrosion, atmospheric agents and contaminants such as mold and bacteria. Another non-negligible advantage is the aesthetic factor given by the chosen paint which can be glossy, matte or satin.
Italcoat can supply lacquered aluminum sheets for several markets and final applications. The company produces a lot of lacquers with different properties and purposes. For more information, don’t hesitate to contact us.
