Laminazione Sottile Group will participate to the “Food Processing & Packaging Exposyum“, hosted in Nairobi, Kenya, from 3 to 5 November 2015.
The Exposyum, at its third edition, will be taking place at the Kenyatta International Conference Center (KICC).
This annual event has firmly established itself in the local market: last year more than 1,000 visitors from Kenya and the neighbouring East African states came to the Exposyum, and this year enterprises from ten nations will be showcasing their solutions and products.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a three-day conference at which the theme of SAVE FOOD will play an important role. This part of the program will be organized by the partners of the SAVE FOOD Initiative, the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Messe Düsseldorf.
Adequate processing and packaging solutions are key in fighting food losses, particularly in the Sub-Saharan countries where these losses are often caused by the lack of suitable means to process, store and transport harvested produce. therefore, aluminium could represent the perfect solutions for edibles to ensure long and safe storage, being a barrier against humidity, oxygen and microorganisms.
