Before analyzing the production process of aluminium panels, it is necessary to explain what is meant by “aluminium processing”: it mean all those industrial production processes that are applied to a semi-finished product – plate, foil, sheet, strip – with the aim to make it suitable for use in certain sectors. The various processes also include coatings, used above all in the food, construction and HVAC markets. There are several purposes for which lacquers are applied: to make the surface more resistant to corrosion or contaminants, or simply to improve it from an aesthetic point of view.
Aluminium production process
Italcoat, a company part of the Laminazione Sottile Group, has been involved in the aluminium processing sector for more than thirty years. In particular, it specializes in surface treatments such as those to be applied to aluminium panels. In fact, the company supplies lacquered aluminium for insulation boards to be used in the building sector and in air ducting systems. The aluminium, painted on both sides, can be supplied in two versions:
- one side lacquered with colourless/gold/white/transparent varnish and the other side lacquered with a back gold primer
- one side lacquered with colourless/gold/white/transparent colours/antimicrobial varnish and the other side lacquered with a back colourless/gold /transparent primer
Both types of coated aluminium guarantee a high resistance to corrosion and an equal resistance to UV-Rays. Furthermore, the surface can be supplied flat, embossed or with embossed logo.
Any type of aluminium processing is carried out following the highest quality standards and according to the different demands of the market and customers.
